It’s been a busy food truck season so far this year and it shows no signs of slowing down. Here are 4 “Can’t Miss” food truck events that are coming up in the coming weeks:
Food Truck Frenzy at the CNE:
The CNE will once again be hosting food trucks along the Princes’ Gate from August 22-24. This year’s Food Truck Frenzy will see almost 20 gourmet food trucks make their way to the annual Exhibition including local favourites Hogtown Smoke, Busters Sea Cove and Fidel Gastros.
AwesTRUCK 2014 at SoundBites:
On September 5-6, AwesTRUCK is back again for its 3rd year and will be pairing up with the SoundBites Festival at Mississauga Celebration Square. The two-day festival will be featuring 30 food trucks from across Ontario to attend the awards and food truck rally including Frankie Fettuccine, West of Seoul & Great British Bake. Who will be taking home the hardware this year? Unlike previous years, this year’s event will be free to the public and will also be hosting a preview event with over a dozen trucks in attendance on August 30 at 495 Wellington St W from 11AM-8PM.
James Street Supercrawl 2014:
The annual not-for-profit music, arts and food festival hits Hamilton’s James St again on September 12-14. This year’s event will be featuring some great artists including The Arkells and Spoon to entertain the crowds. They have still yet to announce this year’s food truck line-up but you can stay up to date on their website.
Food Truck Festival Ontario:
This brand new food truck festival is brought to us by the team behind CraveTO, and will be throwing an event at Ontario Place on September 21 to showcase some of Ontario’s gourmet food trucks. For the inaugural event, they have invited over 20 trucks including Southern Smoke Truck, MENU Food Truck and Curbalicious with the promise of “mouthgasms” for all.
