Toronto’s food trucks continue to fight their battle to be able to serve on the public property.
As shared in an article by CBC news, due to noise complaints from residents around Woodbine Park, food trucks are no longer able to operate at the public park as part of the two-month food truck pilot project launched earlier this month.
Despite having to remove Woodbine Park from the pilot project, the city is looking for alternate locations in the area due to the positive response they’ve received. From the article:
“The city says it’s looking at other locations near Woodbine Park, since they have also received dozens of letters (from the community) supporting the food truck pilot project.”
Regardless of the decision, one food truck operator, Rachel Scott of Stuft Truck isn’t worried about how it’ll affect the program since majority of the response they’ve received from the public has been positive.
Until the end of September, you will be able to find Toronto’s food trucks set-up for lunches and dinners at four public parks during the week including Sherbourne Commons, Roundhouse Park, Canoe Landing and Allan Gardens.
