This upcoming weekend from September 11-14, Hamilton will be hosting the James Street Supercrawl, one of city’s most anticipated annual street events of the year.
For those who aren’t familiar with the event, Supercrawl is a giant street festival that showcases the artistic and cultural area of James Street North through live music, art and food. Imagine the monthly James St Artcrawl, and blow it up with artists like Arkells, Spoon and A Tribe Called Red and fill the street with food trucks, and you get Supercrawl.
The street festival is about to head into it’s 6th year and has drawn thousands to the Hamilton each year for the multi-day event. According to their site, they saw over 100,000 people attend the event in 2013.
With the ever-growing food truck scene in the ‘Hammer’, the festival has invited 30 food trucks and carts to be a part of the block party, including some local and GTA favourites like Gorilla Cheese, Caplanskys, The Dirty South, Jonny Blonde and Frankie Fettuccine. You can check here for the full list of food options available.
