Hogtown Smoke Restaurant in Toronto's Beaches

Hogtown Smoke, Toronto’s first BBQ themed food truck, is putting down some permanent roots in the east end, with their their just-opened 30-seat, sit-down restaurant in the heart of Toronto’s Beaches. Read all about the new east end hot spot here.  In a recent chat with owner Scott Fraser (who owns the business with his brother Kevin) we asked how things were going.

“It couldn’t be better,” says Scott. “Turns out a food truck really is a decent way to test things out before you start a restaurant. We’re lined up here every night and our customers are very happy. Like I say, it couldn’t be better.”

What does it mean for the Hogtown Smoke food truck? Business as usual, for the most-part – though Scott says the truck will go on a hiatus after Christmas until the warm weather comes. “’I’m sitting in a warm BBQ restaurant,” says Scott. “That’s how I plan to spend the winter.”
