The top 5 food truck events in and around Toronto this spring

So long winter, spring has finally arrived in Toronto. As temperatures begin to rise, Toronto’s fleet of food trucks are starting to hit the streets for another season. It’s finally time to get outside and embrace truck season with these tasty spring events.

Here’s a round-up of food truck events to mark in your calendars this spring.

Humber Food Truck Festival
For a second year in a row Humber is bringing a food tuck festival to campus. The Humber Food Truck Festival will be taking place on Thursday April 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the North Campus at 205 Humber College Blvd. Expect to chow down on offerings from eight different food trucks.

Food Truck’n Friday
For a third year in a row the bi-weekly food truck event is back. Every other week starting April 21 a new line-up of 10 trucks will pop up in the parking lot at Resurrection Rd. & Bloor St. W  in Etobicoke.

Sew Hungry
On May 5 Hamilton’s favourite food truck festival returns. From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Ottawa Street will be filled with 25+ trucks from all over Ontario. Prepare to sample eats ranging from fried chicken waffle sandwiches to loaded baked potatoes.

Party in the Vineyard
From May 20 to 22 Peller Estates Winery will be hosting ultimate backyard bash in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The event will feature 20 food trucks, pop-up vendors and tickets will set you back $15.

Gourmet Food Truck Frenzy
On May 27 and 28 the Rotary Club of Whitby will be hosting its annual food truck festival. The event will feature 30+ food trucks from the GTA and takes place at the Iroquois Sports Centre parking lot.
