Toronto food truck locationNow that the city has decided to further loosen their food truck restrictions, we’re finally starting to see more trucks take advantage of the curbside vending permits, and finding some high traffic regular locations in the city to set up and serve lunch. A few regular private property service opportunities have also been popping up for them as more property owners are interested in hosting food trucks during the busy lunch hours.

Here are 8 spots in Toronto where you can regularly find food trucks throughout the week:

RBC Plaza at Bay & Front:

Now that the Front St construction has mostly cleared up, trucks are able set up in the plaza for lunches. Throughout the summer, you’ll be able to find food trucks serving lunch in the plaza every Thursdays from 11AM-2PM.

Green P Lot at 34 Hanna Ave

It’s been a challenge for trucks to get into Liberty Village over the years, but due to an arrangement with the Toronto Parking Authority, they are now able to operate in a number of Green P locations across the city. The Liberty Village parking lot has been among the most active, and a popular lunch spot for trucks.

University & College/Gerrard

One of the original curbside vending spots found in the city and often used by the ME.N.U Food Truck. Since last year, trucks have been making their way up and down University Ave to try to make the best of their permits. You’ll also be able to find the Kal & Mooy truck set-up closer to Gerrard for lunches throughout the summer.

Oxford Towers at 1 Adelaide St

Arranged by the Ontario Street Food team, every Thursday throughout the summer you’ll be able to find a food truck tucked along Adelaide beside the Staples for lunch from 11AM-3PM.

Roy Thomson Hall

With the new curbside vending permit restrictions, food trucks have found that the spots on King St W by Roy Thomson Hall is within a serviceable area in the downtown core. You will regularly be able to find a truck or two there throughout the week during lunch time.

Elm & Bay

Primarily used by the new Egg Man breakfast truck, you’ll be able to find them set up at Elm & Bay almost every morning during the week dishing out breakfast poutine and sandwiches from 7AM-11:15AM.

Church & Bloor

Food trucks have found a promising curbside spot up in the Church & Bloor area to set up and serve lunch to the many hungry office workers in the area.

Chelsea Hotel

Throughout the summer, Chelsea Hotel at Yonge/Gerrard will have their Chelsea Food Truck set up outside of their hotel on their patio serving up various Mexican eats like tacos, roasted corn and chips and salsa.
