04022013-fidelgastro-padthaifriesAs the weather gets chillier out there, the food truck season continues to wind down. But don’t fret, many of your food truck eats cravings can still be met over the winter season at their very own brick and mortar locations.

Here are 9 places you can go to grab your off season food truck eats:

Gourmet Gringos
Over the last year, the guys from GG have quickly expanded to open up 3 restaurants across the GTA, a small take out shop, their home base up in Aurora, and their brand new spot in the Beaches. So if you’re ever craving some of their famed fish tacos, it’s just a short trip away.

Hogtown Smoke
Almost exactly a year ago, Hogtown Smoke brought their BBQ out to the Beaches and opened up the Joint that features a wide variety of smoked BBQ platters and homemade sauces as well as their food truck favourites like my personal favourite, their Jacked Up Grilled Cheese.

Caplanskys
The fan favourite food truck started out as a successful delicatessen on College and continues to be a staple in the area. You can get your smoked meat poutine fix any time of the year.

Fidel Gastros
In the heart of Queen West, you’ll be able to find FG’s trendy cicchetti restaurant, Lisa Marie. Known for their oft changing menus, killer brunches and event nights like their Triple B Bingo nights on Tuesdays. Now you’ll be able to settle those Pad Thai Fry cravings you get any time of the year, especially since you can now make them on your own courtesy of their new cookbook, Street Food Diaries.

The Food Dudes
You’ll be able to get your hands on some of their Mac n Cheese balls throughout the off season as well as some other great little snacks from their “bigger on the inside” take out spot out in Leslieville on Carlaw.

Pretty Sweet
The mobile cupcakery has opened up a shop up on Eglinton West called Pursuit of Frosting that specializes on custom cakes, cookies and cupcakes. Have an upcoming holiday party and want to bring some treats? We know a place.

Feisty Jack
For those out in the Etobicoke area, you’ll be able warm yourselves up with some of their authentic British fare at Feisty Jack’s new brick and mortar spot called Spitfire Kitchen at 132A Sixth St.

Busters Sea Cove
Grabbing some lunch time fish and chips at Busters in St Lawrence Market won’t be new to many but tucked on the East side of the Market, you’ll be able to get your fix.

Bacon Nation
Expanding from the CNE Food Hall to the food truck earlier this Spring, the guys from Bacon Nation took it a step further and took over a space on Spadina Ave just north of Queen St to offer up their bacon only menu to public. Trust me when I say you won’t miss it when you’re in the area, just follow your nose.
