Food trucks are coming back to Yorkdale Shopping Centre for Canada Day.
After making its debut on Father’s Day weekend, the Street Eats market will be back (and better than ever) on July 1 at Yorkdale Shopping Centre. The event will run from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., and will feature 18 of Toronto’s favourite food trucks, making it the largest food truck festival in the city so far this summer.
These are the vendors you can expect to see on July 1:
- Alfie’s Lemonade
- Born2Eat
- Bubba’s Butterfly Chips
- Choco Churros
- Eva’s Original Chimney
- Food From East Express
- ICEE
- Johnny Rocco’s Pizza Wagon
- Mary Brown’s
- Meltwich
- Rebozos Taqueria
- Rick’s Good Eats
- Road Grill
- The Smoke Stop
- Tinuno
- Tiny Tom’s Donuts
- Toronto Gourmet Hot Dogs and Fries
- Twisted Tomato
On top of the expanded lists of food trucks at the event, the Canada Day festival will be switching from a drive-thru format to a walk-up grab and go model, making it accessible to more people.
Social distancing markers will be placed 10 feet apart as opposed to the mandatory six feet, in order to maintain health and safety as well as support individual groups of 10 people or less.
All orders must still be placed beforehand through the online portal, although time slots will now be available through one-hour windows for greater convenience.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Baycrest Foundation on behalf of Street Eats Market and Yorkdale Shopping Centre.
