Dundas Square Gets its First Taste of Food Trucks

By on March 1, 2011

On Sunday, food trucks descended on Yonge and Dundas Square for the first time ever as part of a karaoke event for Digifest.

On hand were Gorilla Cheese, Portobello Burger and Bonfire Catering.

I arrived late in the day around 4:00 p.m. and was happy to see the trucks still serving food.

I decided I needed to try Gorilla Cheese because I missed them at the last Food Truck Eats event. After surveying the menu I decided on “The Lumberjack” which has cheese, bacon and thinly sliced pieced of apple.

It’s a great combination of flavours and definitely comfort food, especially if you happen to be recovering from a Halloween party the previous night.

Unfortunately the other trucks began packing up as I was eating so I will have to try them next time.
