The only thing better than an all night art party is an all night art party with food trucks. Lots of ‘em. Welcome to your weekend! When Scotiabank Nuit Blanche takes over the streets Saturday October 5, food trucks will be set up at four locations all night long – playing a bigger part than ever in the fun.
Festival organizers say the arty masses love the trucks – and consider them part of the show. Part of the Nuit Blanche mandate is to help people experience Toronto transformed by artists, says City of Toronto Programming Manager Julian Sleath. “In this case – food artists,” says Sleath.
Some trucks are offering special menu items. Tom at Buster’s Sea Cove told us his truck will serve a special lobster roll with lightly steamed Nova Scotia lobster, dressed in a light mayo with chives and celery and a hint of lemon. In other words, order two… oh, and you might want to bring an umbrella.
