After a wild first season documenting his journey into the Toronto street food scene, Fidel Gastro’s Matt Basile gets the official green light for another season of his show ‘Rebel Without a Kitchen‘.

Now that the ‘rebel’ has gotten himself a kitchen in his Queen West restaurant Lisa Marie, he plans to take to the road for the second season of his show. This upcoming season will be all about taking on other pop-ups, food trucks and underground street festivals as he travels across North America.

Matt will be making stops and popping-up at street food meccas across Canada and the United States including Cape Breton, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles and Vancouver.

In addition to the new season, ‘Rebel Without a Kitchen’ was also picked up by the Asia Food Channel and will be aired across Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines to give a glimpse of the Toronto street food scene and marking the first Toronto based food truck to reach international markets.

Season 2 of Rebel Without a Kitchen will be airing Spring 2014 on Travel & Escape.
