This Father’s Day weekend, Toronto will be holding its first ever drive-thru food truck festival at Yorkdale Shopping Centre.
The first event of its kind in the city, the Street Eats Market will feature some of Toronto’s favourite trucks: Eva’s Original Chimney, Beaver Tails, Choco Churros, Meltwich, Jerk Brothers, The Holy Grill, Johnny Rocco’s Pizza Wagon, and more.
The event will double as a fundraiser for Baycrest Hospital, so you can treat dad and support a great cause. Of course, in order to maintain health and safety guidelines and remain efficient, the Street Eats Market will look quite different from your usual Summer food market.
All food orders must be placed and paid for ahead of time via the website, with limited 15 minute time-slots to choose from for pickup. License plate numbers will be used to identify pickup orders, which can be retrieved from a high table for contactless pickup.
In accordance with the current public health guidelines, orders will be for takeout only, and customers will need to exit the market after retrieving all of their food items.
